The subject is twokittens playing and fighting offlobsters escaping from a lobster man’sbasket. The details and colors arewonderful. We were charmed the momentwe saw it, cats, lobsters, andAmerican, how wonderful. The paintingis signed upper right J.H. Dolph, NA1901 lower left. The painting is an oilon artist board and measures 20x16,24x20 in frame. The frame isappropriate in style and age though itmay not be original. The painting is inexcellent condition and the frame hassome expected age wear. Overall in verygood condition and a super feline orcat theme. We have no provenance withthis piece so it is sold as attributedto Dolph.  *****On looking at thephotos some came out with a bit of alighting glare, the painting is notfoggy, and some photos blanched outsome colors.
