Description
This is a wonderful engraving done by P.B. Hall, Jr. of a Sir Edwin Landseer painting of squirrels and a random Chickadee that is checking out the feasting squirrels. This is a 18" x 22" engraving done on canvas. When you go online to research Sir Edwin Landseer paintings, the premier naturalist artist during the Victorian Years, you will be hard pressed to find this painting. This is not one of Landseer's famous stags or fox hunts. Still, it is an incredible P.B. Hall engraving that is nearly photographic in detail. There is a scratch in the lower right corner, or it appears to be a scratch. This should be restorable. The print is framed and trimmed with black matte. Actually, we truly enjoy this print and hate to see it leave our wall. We are also offering a sister print to the squirrels, so definitely consider purchasing this and our other Landseer painting of young foxes, engraved by G. Zobel and dated 2/3/1876 (published by Henry Graves).
