Holt ' Description I finally decided I have to part with these 2 primitive antique oil paintings. I bought them from a dealer who had found them at a local flea market. Both appear to have been painted on a wooden slat from the back of a chair or maybe they are narrow strips of wood. They are slightly convex and the ends are rounded. Oil paint colors are muted greens, rusts and tans. Both are signed E Holt. One shows a man with a gun and his hunting dogs in a field with trees in the background. The other shows a country road, a house and a wagon. Corners are broken on both paintings. The one with the hunter is broken from the top to the bottom, nearly at the center. It has been glued back together but is still just barely hanging together. There are modern paper hangers on the backs of both. Each one measures 13" x 4". Written on the back of one of them is Edward Alred. Don't know who that was. Please ask any questions. Shipping in the US is by Priority mail. Insurance required.
