Michael Kovner was born in 1948 in kibbutz Ein Hachoresh. He is the son of the famous Israeli poet Aba Kovner. Between 1972 and 1975 he studied in New York Studio School. His recent exhibitions in Israel were at the Ramat Gan Museum and at the Ein Harod Museum of Art. He also exhibited in George Krevsky Gallery, San Francisco. This work was part of a group of artworks depicting Mount Tabor and Mount Gilboa.
