Che Teh Chun was born in 1920 in Jiangsu Province, China between 1935-1941 Chu Teh Chun attended the Art Academy of Hangzhou. He was first interested in the traditional style, then he opted for western painting. In 1942 he started teaching at the University of Nankin. After the second world war, he moved to Taipei. In 1951 he became professor of the National University , where he taught western painting. In 1955 he immigrated to Paris, where he currently. His first solo exhibition took place in Paris in 1957. In 1997, he was elected to the Academy of Fine Arts of the Institute of Paris.
