This great new original oil painting would sell in a gallery for about $2200 framed. I don't like eBay fluff so I wouldn't say this if it weren't true.  I've sold quite a number of big ol' paintings at retail prices in nice, swanky, high-end galleries over the years. Nevertheless, as a public service anouncement, I encourage you to research fine art.  Train your eye, educate yourself. Go to art museums and good galleries and see what's being offered and for what.  I think you will be pleasantly surprised by some of the quality being offered on ebay...especially by the daily painting groups and real plein air artists (which I'm not by the way...well, I am but I don't sell my "plein air" studies on line.)  The frame pictured below can be purchased with the painting.  I mill these right here in my little desert studio out of select grade wood, 5 inches wide with an antiqued black finish.  This size would be $189 TITLE:  Streamline Check out blog here http://williamhawkins.blogspot.com/ News: I am now making frames to go with my paintings.  They are solid, furniture grade hardwood or select grade clear fir in a black / antiqued finish.  These are high-quality wide profile frames at great prices.  ...very hard to find anything in this wide profile...and very expensive when you do. The workshops with Italian artists in St. Petersburg, Russia this summer seems to be coming together.  I'll add dates when they're available.  One of my recent works was purchased by the Grand Canyon Association to hang in their permanent collection.  It will be on display in the famous Kolb Studio Museum on the south rim of the canyon along with some of the best paintings ever made of that historic and beautiful place!   I use archival quality paints and substrates and finish all paintings with a quality varnish for protection and cleanability.  I paint on standard size canvas panels so the frame you need to fit your painting will be easy to find.
