The book is a signed limited edition (#30 of 100) containing 21 classic Warhol illustrations, 15 of which are printed on the gold-leaf paper which gives the book its name. The remaining six illustrations are printed on white paper and hand-colored in day-glow colors that still pop vibrantly off the page. The book measures 15 X 11 5/8th inches and has been meticulously preserved. These drawings, which form Warhol's most artistically acclaimed bound collection, contain many of the artist's touchstones: sensitive portraits of young men and women, flowers, shoes, James Dean, and even a crucifix.
