It is inspired, as its title suggests, by the colours & light I experienced while walking by Rutland Water at Barnsdale in Rutland  -near to where I live. I create these embroidered pictures as aids to meditation, whether you practice this as a form of relaxation, to lift you to a higher spiritual plane or just to enjoy a beautiful landscape, my aim as an artist is to make that experience unique. Autumn at Barnsdale has been framed with no glass and has a finish in partial relief, so partially sighted or blind persons can also appreciate the experience through touch. I am both artist and reiki healer, beginning my art training at Loughborough College of Art and continuing at St Martins School of Art in London. My healing now forms an integral part of all my work, including my art. I have exhibited locally in many exhibitions and sell my work directly to the public in some unusual places, including night clubs.
