Bob Bennett Bronze Sculpture "Concepts", No Reserve Start Price USD 3,480.00 Current Price USD 3,480.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Friday, July 18, 2008 End Time Monday, July 28, 2008 Location Jamestown, NY See more about 'Bob Bennett Bronze Sculpture "Concepts", No Reserve' Description "Concepts" is a bronze coffee table and is #42 in a closed Limited Edition of 50 by the late Bob Bennett of the Bennett Brothers of Placerville, California, offered here at a 40% discount from the list price.  It is 27in tall and roughly 14in in diameter.  It weighs approximately 38lbs.  The photos below show the piece in different orientations and have not been  retouched or edited.  Flowing lines start from a triangula base and sweep up to the curved table surface supports.  The Buyer will need to provide his/her own surface material; a minimum 21in diameter will fit, although we used a beveled 42in, 1in thick glass surface for our home, as shown in one of the photos.  This is a very impressive work and a hugh conversation piece in a living room.  My wife and I are downsizing and need to reduce our collection of the Bennett works we have, much to our regret.  We are hoping to find a home for this piece and other of our pieces where their quality and beauty will be enjoyed as much as we have.  This work is truly a collectible which has and will grow further in value, aesthetic and monetary, over time. Bennett Sculptures may not be as well known on the East Coast as in the West.  They began with wire sculpture in the 1960s and expanded into bronzes in the 1970s.  They have since opened many galleries on the West Coast, the closest to here being Chicago.  They have performed commissions for a long list of industrial and not-for-profit organizations as well as pieces commissioned to be given as awards to famous people such as President George W. Bush, Pope John-Paul II, Oprah Winfrey, Angelina Jolie, Governor Arnold Schwarzenneger, etc.  One of their pieces was presented as a gift by President Reagan to Premier Gorachev during the latter's visit to the US in the 1980s (we have a piece from that closed Limited Edition).  In addition, they have sold to art collectors world wide. If you purchase a second one of our sculptures at the same time as this one, we will take an additional 10% off the price of the second item.   Similarly, purchase a third one of our sculptures at the same time and we will drop its price 20%.
