Cail factory design drawing of Crampton Locomotive for an Egyptian railroad.  This is a pen & ink hand drawing with watercolor details dated 1865.  This is an original piece of art made by the factory as a preparation for making a locomotive.  It is not a machine-made copy created to decorate someone’s house.  As an original piece of art, it is the only one in existence.  The Crampton Locomotives are some of the most beautiful locomotives every built.  For a lover of these engines, this is an ultimate treasure.  An 1852 JF Cail et Cie loco named “Sezanne” is housed in the railroad museum in Mulhouse, France.Condition: The piece has been folded once vertically and once horizontally.  The top of the piece has been trimmed irregularly, and if framed the part that says “Chemins Egyptiens” will have to be covered up.  Otherwise the piece is in excellent condition.Dimensions: 30 1/4” x 21” (76.8 cm x 53.3 cm).Traduction informatique : Le dessin original de conception d'usine de Cail de F.
