Shackie Boy With His Plaid Mousie This is my boy with his favorite toy…I painted this a coupleyears ago and this mousie has lost a little stuffing and it’s tailfell off some time ago. I have not had the heart to throw it awaybecause he still loves to run up on it and give it a few bunnykicks a lick and then just hold it. I have gotten him plenty of new toys but none seem to take its place. It is so ratty that thedogs don’t even go near it. I love the colors in this painting and the shadows; the one shadow that the mouse tail makes is my favorite. Also thereading material he decided to lie on made interesting lines. Ithought the reflective light and colors on his face gave the painting just the added color it needed. This piece is done in oils on hardboard and is ready toframe.
