This Dutch painting is a wonderful extremely high quality painting in superb condition. It depicts Nymphs capturing a Satyr. One of the women is directing the others to tie the satyr up. The colors are very vibrant. The detail and quality rival the finest of this artist's works. The painting has an important provenance coming from Costello DiGiove, Umbria, Italy. It has been in the same family collection for over 100 years. This important discovery will be a highlight to any Dutch Old Master collection.
