C. For the last 20 years of his life he lived in Santa Barbara, California.  Since the early 1990's he has had numerous one man exhibitions in Santa Barbara.This painting, Montecito Bird Sanctuary/Montecito Country Club is one of two paintings that survived from the series of 6 paintings that were commissioned by the Biltmore Hotel, Santa Barbara in the early 1970's. The rest of the paintings were stolen many years ago and where abouts unknown to this day.The current owner purchased both paintings, Montecito Bird Sanctuary/Montecito Country Club and Our Lady of Montecito Church from the Delphine Gallery in 2007 when the Biltmore Hotel went through a restoration and put the paintings up for sale at the Delphine Gallery which exhibited Brewer's work originally when he was alive.The paintings are in perfect condition and are true collector pieces unique to Santa Barbara, California.
