I also offer FREE local pick up in Barrie Ontario, about 2 hours North of Niagara Falls.   WOW, I have saved my favorite piece of art till last and what do I say about these, I have never seen another pair like them, they are just incredible. These are a very rare pair of matching carved wooden wall brackets, done in the Neoclassical form with winged Cherubs, complete with glass eyes and measuring approx 17" not counting the top shelves, which would add on another inch, the shelf on top measures approx 10" across the back and they would stick out from the wall approx 5" with the shelves or 4" without. I believe these were wall brackets, that someone in the not too distant past decided to make more useful by adding two layers of wood onto the tops to make them into shelves. I was tempted to remove this, but then I thought maybe someone else would want them as shelves, and if you don't you can make the decision to remove the tops. These are extremely well carved, and then they have a layer of Gesso over top and what I believe is the original paint, but I will point out the paint is faded, I think giving it a warm subtle beauty. There is some loss to the gesso (thin layer of plaster over the wood), but the photos show them well, and I could go on and on forever about how beautiful they are, but they say pictures say a thousand words, so I ask you to take another look at them and I dare say you may just fall in love as I did.  I am sure this would sell for a handsome price at a live auction or in a gallery, but with my low opening bid and NO RESERVE someone could score a huge bargain !!
