Gorey's fantastical version of a deck of Tarot cards combined with an interpretative booklet, 2.5 x 4.75," pseudonymously written by Madam Groeda Weyrd with twenty cards, is housed in the original pictorial box of Gorey's design.  Gorey has signed this booklet, limited to 500 unnumbered copies of the First Edition.   A WHYMISICALFigbash Doll, entirely hand-made by Gorey's imaginative hands.  The black and white doll, measuring 19" from finger to finger, comes with a tag signed by Gorey stating Designed life-size and sewn by hand and filled with rice by Edward Gorey".   The above items are housed in a custom-made, hinged burl walnut beaded shadow box frame.  The box is lined with archival gray suede matting.  The book rests on a custom-made burled shelf.  The doll and the box of cards are also displayed within the shadow box frame.  All are in fine condition!   Signed Limited Edition in Hard Cover of E. The lid of the Shadowbox was created using a walnut burl frame with beading -#2378.  The base of the box was with a walnut stained box frame-#36153004.  Lid and base are joined with a pair of 2" x 1 1/2" solid brass ball tipped hinges.  The box is lined with archival suede matting in "Coal Suede" - Brainbridge 4165.  The  "Figbash" character is mounted to the matting substrate using cotton thread and a tacking method.  The shelves for the two (2)books were created using a reverse profile walnut burl frame lined with the archival "coal suede" mat.  The glass used in the box is U-V filtering Conservation Clear Glass.  The box may be opened and closed using the slender and curved, dark rubbed handle.  The box is sealed on the back with acid free backing paper and is fitted with the wallbuddies hanging system.   Size:  18X24   Powered by eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool.
