From an edition of 99 plus 6 Artist Proofs. Sale item: Profile Canto # 83. 1987. Cold-rolled steel painted in grey flattented epoxy with 6" nickel-plated bronze figure, 15 1/2 X 10 X 6 3/4". Stamped, numbered and dated in an edition of 99, plus 6 AP. Each sculpture in this series has an ambiguous small human figure, to one side. The larger scuplture is actually made up of this figure cut up into abstract segments, representing perhaps Trova's perception of modern man. . This maquette (sculpture) is #38/99. It is in excellent condition. Some discoloration from aging (see photo). I am the sole owner. The original brochure showing all 10 maquettes in the series is included in this sale as well as a certificate of authenticity. Ernest Trova is a very well known American artist. Not prolific.
