Description
Up for auction is an original signed and numbered Bill Mack bonded sand sculpture, entitled Essence. The piece is numbered 114/145 and was created in 1988. It measures approximately 40.5-inches by 32.75-inches by 9.5-inches. It has a replacement value of $50,000 however it generally sells for between $30,000 and $35,000. This sale of this piece is being used to settle the taxes owed on my late Father's estate. This work needs to be sold ASAP, as I was informed by the trustees on Monday ( 5/12/2008 ) afternoon that the full amount needs to be in an escrow account no later than June 1st, with the taxes to be paid out shortly thereafter. In addition to being listed on eBay, I have also placed an ad in the local paper here in Sarasota, Florida and sent word to several galleries who deal primarily with Bill Mack's work. The BUY-IT-NOW price of $10,000 is just under the remainder of the taxes owed. In order to help move this item along, I will be paying for the shipping and handling as well as the insurance. The sculpture will be sent as soon as your payment clears and not before. Payment is to be sent immediately following the auctions end. Accepted forms of payment are personal checks ( U.S accounts only ), cashiers checks or money orders. I will not be issuing any refunds, so please bear that in mind before you bid/buy.
