Description
EPICENTER OF PAIN II a graphite drawing on paper by Latin American Artist Fernando Casas. Signed, titled and dated 1982 by the artist in pencil. In excellent condition. On medium wove white paper. Drawing size a VERY LARGE 33 x 23. A very finely rendered drawing that is influenced by Van Gough. One of the first works among many paintings, drawings, and etchings of this theme. An important Casas drawing that was created early in his body of work. Notes: Casas is listed in Who's Who In American Art. Born in Bolivia and now a US citizen. He has a PhD in Philosophy from Rice University in Houston. Casas is noted for his artistic and intellectual development of Flat-Sphere Perspective and Polar Perspective. His work has been exhibited internationally at Harriet Griffin Gallery, New York; Salon Municipal de Arts Pllasticas, La Paz Bolivia; Pabellion de las Aries, Seville, Sapin-Expo 92; The Asahi Shimbun Museum, Osaka, Japah; Galeria Garces Velazquez, Bogata, Columbia; and Toni Jones Gallery, Houston, Texas; to name a few among many.
