Another Doll in my “Little Patriot” Series this one is sure to please the Americana or patriotic doll collector.   This little frontiersman patriot proudly carries his countries flag.  It is a 13 star flag, Betsy Ross style. Made from cotton canvas, painted on both sides, and aged. He is made from my own original patterns.   This little fellow is approximately 13” long without his tri-corner hat. His legs are bent at the knee so that he can be displayed nicely on a shelf or doll sized chair.    I made our little Frontiersman Patriot from muslin and stuffed him with fiberfill.   His face is needle sculpted.   I have painted him with many layers of paint and sanded between each layer.  To finish off he was given a coat of stain.  This ageing process gives the doll a look of an antique and the feel that is very much like leather.   His eyes and hair are brown; his cheeks have been lightly blushed.   His clothing is painted on to him.    His outfit makes him look as though he came straight off the frontier to defend his beloved country.   His pants and shirt are made to look like buckskin, complete with double fringe across the chest and back of his lace up shirt.  His pants have double fringe that extends down the sides.  His boots lace up the side, in old-fashioned style. His belt has a lightly rusted metal belt buckle. I painted his clothing in shades of brown. His little tri-corner hat was also made of muslin, painted and aged.  It has a wire around the edge of the brim so that is holds it’s shape nicely.   It is black with under tones of brown.   Our little Frontiersman Patriot is jointed with lightly rusted metal buttons at the shoulders and hips.   This little Frontiersman Patriot would be a great addition to any patriotic or Americana collection.   Each of my dolls are different hand made individuals with their own personalities, no  two are ever alike.   This little guy has been signed and dated.   This doll was made for collectors and décor purposes.  He is not a toy intended for young children.       Winning bidder to pay shipping and Handling.   Canadian Buyers must pay with Pay-Pal.   Parcel Post shipping - OR - Priority Shipping.
