I have a series of six different hand embroidered flowers in this collection, and they are ALL incredible! This one is a stunning red rose bloom on blackest black satin. It is outstanding! Double matted, framed with glass, and ready to hang, this picture measures 15x15 inches. The frame is black and measures 1-1/2 inches wide. The first mat is 2 inches wide and edged in gold. The inner mat is 1 inch wide and is edged in white. The rose is various shades of red touched subtley with gold threads, and the greens are varied and extraordinary. The back is completely covered in black velvet-type material with a hanger attached at the top edge. The picture weighs 3-1/4 pounds and is ready to hang. The embroidery-style is called Shu embroidery of the Sichuan Province. It is completely hand done on soft satin fabric by stitching colored thread evenly and regularly to produce this picture.
