Description
The versatile John Bratby inked this darkly humorous original drawing, titled Eye Ball Snooker, for page 97 of his book BREAK50KILL (published by Hutchinson in 1963). India ink on off-white stock measuring 10” x 14-1/2”.  Signed by Bratby. Two edges of the sheet show tape residue where the paper was secured to a prep board. Printer’s instructions remain penciled in on the sheet. Artwork is clean, with just a couple very faint stains outside image area. Lightest surface creasing at middle of sheet is negligible. Originally purchased from Anthony Aldridge/Hawthorne Books in the UK in 1995. Original sales receipt will be included in purchase, if desired.
