BENNETT' Description ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING by FRANK MOSS BENNETT (English 1874 - 1952)          Frank Moss Bennett (1874 - 1952) was a London artist who specialized in painting portraits, genre and historical subjects in the 'Victorian' style. Bennett was born in Liverpool. He studied art at St John's Wood Art School, the Slade School, and at The Royal Academy Schools, where he won a gold medal and a travel scholarship. His original oils now command many thousands of dollars.   The painting offered here for sale is an original oil on canvas.  The stretched canvas(painting without frame) measures app. 12" X 16" and appears to be in its original ornate gilt frame.  The frame is in excellent condition.   The photo shown here was in bright sunlight - but in reality the colours are stronger and more robust.   There is a tiny cut which is unfrayed of approximately 3" in length near the bottom right hand side on the painting.  Was told that it may cost in the neighbourhood of $300. to repair perfectly, but hanging on the wall one is not even aware of it.    This oil painting is signed F.M.
