Etching Louis Kinney Harlow Listed' Description Up for auction today is this original etching titled " Cape Ann Near Gloucester" by Louis Kinney Harlow. Beautiful original etching detailing several cottages down by the waters edge, a old boat line in the water, some gulls in the air with a boat in the far background. In the bottom left hand side reads " Genuine Engraved Etching" and in the the middle bottom the etching title "Cape Ann near Gloucester" and right hand corner signature "Louis K. Harlow". This etching was done in the late 1800's. Harlow was a painter and etcher known for New England landscapes, fishermen, farms, boats and coastal scenes. Born March 28,1850 in Wareham Ma. and died in 1931. Comes in a nice new frame with glass front with new black edged professional mat. Sight seen of the etch is 6" x 7 1/2" with the frame size 12" x 15 1/4". References Who Was Who in American Art, 1999, page 1461. Harlow etchings are very rare.
