Engraved, '10,' is also featured in the lower leftEdition: Wonderful 1st state impressioonCondition: In good condition, a bold, crisp impression  Description:Created in 1598, this stunning work by Hendrick Goltzius (1558 – 1617) is one out of a series from the Engraved Passion.  Featuring exquisite detail and mastery of the engraved technique, The Calvary is a solemn scene, whose serenity and stillness is translated throughout the composition to the viewer.  All eyes are pointed toward the crucifixion of Christ, flanked by two others atop a hillside.  The expression and agony conveyed by all characters is scene on their faces, their body language hunched over in mourning.  The overcast sky and ominous clouds add to the overall tone to the piece.
