Description
H. Hargrove, also known as Nicolo Sturiano, was born in 1941 in South Italy. He moved to the US in 1964 where he was stunned by the beautiful sights in America. Without any formal artistic training, Hargrove perfected the use of a serigraph using the inspiration of the town he lived in. The best description is that this is a "print on canvas." Hargrove was soon recognized for his works of art and was named the Official Artist for the Olympics Centennial Games in 1996. Three years later he was named the Official Artist for the 1999 Women's World Cup Soccer Tournament. Today, H. Hargrove is considered the most collected artist in the US. However, his appeal is worldwide! This particular piece of art is one of his rarest, earliest and most desired works, numbered 209 out of only 1000 ever made. It details the beauty and excitement of the classic carousel, while giving you a rare look into Americana lifestyle. Along with the detail and color, Hargrove's signature and numbering make this print all the more rare. The serigraph has an authentication sticker on the back of the canvas and it has been pressed and cleaned. The serigraph comes unframed so you can create a combination that fits your decor! Good Luck in the auction!
