Description
Quality oil on canvas paintings by Hawaii's top palette-knife painter BEV FETTIG have long been treasured by collectors. Her paintings capture the true "blues" of Hawaii's ocean and skies and her recognized understanding of our clouds. Major collectors include United Airlines, First Hawaiian Bank, American Savings, and C.S. Wo. Bev was born in 1935 in Hot Springs, AK and moved to Hawaii in 1960; she trained with the late Chico Hansen (who was a student of Peter Hayward). Her shows and exhibits have been in Hawaii, California, and Spain; in 2007; two similar works were sold at a premier auction in Hawaii for $ 4000 and $ 9000, respectively. Paypal ONLY.......shipping cost also includes packaging & handling "Waialua Sugar Plantation" measures 24" x 18" (framed size is 30" x 24")..........the painting is framed in either monkeypod or koa wood, with a linen mat and a gold fillet. Its condition is excellent....It is signed and date of creation is 1978.......This painting depicts a landscape view of the former Waialua Sugar Plantation near Haleiwa Town on Oahu's north shore. The stacks of the mill and the distant Waianae mountains are in the background. Her coloring of the mountains and skies are very similar in this work of paintings done by Martha Greenwell. This piece is a real collector's item---showing Hawaii in days of old.........
