Description
For your consideration is a late 19th century Northeast US coast Arts and Crafts copper lantern. Ornate filigree pierced design depicts what appears to be sea/beach grass & flowers (possibly made around a Virginian/Delaware beach?) with a butterfly hovering overhead, Latched door features a robust fleur de lys motif, while conical top features the stipple hammered phrase 'SO SHINES A GOOD DEED'. Candleholding base has an attractive serpentine floral motif. The craftmanship on the piece, from the hammered and stippled motifs to the intricate punched/pierced design is top notch. Shipping $10 in US, $30 non-US.
