It is a vintage edition of a Mies van de Rohe designed cantilever chair and it is covered with an extraordinary abstract painting, part graffiti art / part art brut. The chair comes from a house in Zürich Switzerland which was occupied by a group of artists. Over the years they had covered the interior and exterior of the house with art and graffiti. This was one of their chairs and we find it a compelling object and a perfect juxtaposition of the strict lines of the Bauhaus movements with the punk movement. The chair has a seat height of 17.5 inches, total width of 19 inches, total height of 32.5 inches and 24 inches depth. There are a couple of places (see photos) where the rattan has a break but the chair is entirely stable and structurally in good condition. Please email any questions.
