Fresh out of a local estate of a former New York City resident, here we have a woodblock print by Jacques Hnizdovsky titled Leafless Tree.   Pencil signed and numbered by the artist.   This is in excellent condition with the exception of some puckering. This can be smoothed out and reset out by a professional framer.   This woodblock is printed in RED and numbered 25 of 200.   I believe this was a special edition for an Hnizdovsky exhibition "Ten Years of Woodcut, 1960-1970" at the Associated American Artists - 663 Fifth Avenue - New York.   March 8-27, Monday-Saturday 10-6.   (Assuming this show was in 1970.) Overall dimensions of the frame, 25" x 18.5" Red tree with black lettering on an off white/cream background. Heavy duty silvertone metal frame with thick 5/8" wood supports in the back.
