Originally it had a silver frame but that was jetisoned for the sake of a portfolio case where it's been ever since. When I bought it from Issacs I was told it was preliminary for a painting based on a piano image MacGregor wass obsessed with at the time. Macgregor did create several paintings on this motif which look very similar but with some colour variation. MacGregor is well known Internationally and is palced throughout the world in museums and commercial placements. The drawing is 23" x 22".
