This guy was purchased in Key West, Florida in the 1970's and was in storage for 30 years.  He was purchased by wealthy local jeweler. This is excellent example of what was called "Pop Art" or "Junk/Trash Art" at the time.  Looks like the artist could have been under the influence of something??? Unknown artist. Enormous time, effort and thought went into picking the pieces and parts for this man.  He is very heavy, has a wood foundation. Some of the parts include:  Barbie Doll, Craftsman Screw Driver, part of basketball that is his butt, pieces that resemble bicepts, multicolor rope in front to resemble intestines, sole on 1 of his feet is part of waffle iron -- to resemble shoe sole, metal from air hockey game, doll's arm in head, broom stick for private part!!!, little toes has nuts and bolts for toes, fingers cut out of metal containers bent to look like fingers, on left hand, one finger missing, plastic hot water plug, bottle opener, umbrella handle, propeller, flashlight, Volkswagen, brake handle from English Weinman bicycle,  and many, many other objects, just too numerous to mention. Measures 49" from floor to top of head. Head is 6" across Leg is 21" tall Seated torso to top of head 31 1/2" Shoulders 15 1/2" across Elbow-to-elbow 18 1/2" At the knee there are 2 wood screws that come out so leg can come off to be shipped.
