The dog balloon plates (each in an edition of 2300) have been selling for approximately $5,000. This sculpture is an inflatable flower balloon. The size varies on how it is placed on the ground but it measures 6 x 6 x 4 feet (tall) as photographed. An edition of 100 of any piece is extremely rare for Jeff Koons. The balloon is in perfect condition, only blown up once when tested by the publisher to ensure that it was in excellent condition and once by me for the current photograph. The balloon would be shipped in its original box, with the official certificate of testing by the publisher and the yellow air pump that was part of the original package. The balloon is made of heavy plastic, like that used for air mattresses - NOT just thin balloon plastic. Because this piece is fragile, the company that manufactured the piece will mend the balloon if necessary. (Just think - if you drop a porcelain piece - it can not be mended in any way.) This is truly an exciting piece. It is rare because of the small edition and also that it was published in Europe. This is a super deal.
