Each signed by the artist. With a sheet size of 9 X 12. In mint condition having never been framed. On white paper. Moses Soyer suggested to Manney that she increase the fluidness of her style by working very fast and letting her brush flow. From those creations she developed the quick figure series of drawings where she worked very quickly to get her images on paper. One of the above drawings has a notation that it was executed in 1 minuet. Manney only did a few of these great quick expressions of her creativity. Manney is a distinguished New York Artist and perhaps the dean of living aritst as she is now 93. She is a Graduate of Parsons School of Design, New York Univeristy, and the Brooklyn Museum Art School. Manney studied with Moses Soyer, Reuben Tam, and Hans Hoffmen. She was the Chairperson of the Art Department at Clara Barton Vocational High School, New York City. Manney also served as President of New Paltz Art Association (10 years). This distinguished artist has exhibited at many New York and East Coast galleries and her work has sold at fine New England Auction Houses.
