Description
Up for sale we have a lovely drawing by American painter Alexis Rockman. Little Brown Bat is one of twelve drawings done for the exhibit Fresh Kills: Artists Respond to the Closure of the Staten Island Landfill that opened in 2001 at the Newhouse Gallery of Snug Harbor in Staten Island. It was also featured in the July 2002 issue of Harper's Magazine (copy available to buyer). Done with leachate from the landfill in Staten Island, the work on paper measures 12" x 9" and is titled and signed in pencil in the upper right corner of the drawing. I would prefer to sell this work framed, which measures 20 1/4" x 17" and has its original framing sticker from the Hall of Frames in Staten Island!
