He also has had a wide following in the United States. In 1972, he had a major exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico City and from that time has had exhibition venues throughout the world including the United States, Italy, Israel, Australia, Spain and Japan.He was born in Mexico City and earned a Bachelor Degree from the University of Mexico in Mexico City in 1951. More Details: Leonardo Nierman is one of Mexico’s best known artists. He was born in Mexico City in 1932 and showed great enthusiasm for the arts even as a young child. In 1951, he received his bachelor’s degree in physics and mathematics from the University of Mexico. His studies of the psychology of color and the harmony of form in space were instrumental in developing his non-objective interpretation of the relationship between abstraction and natural phenomena. Nierman’s career includes numerous distinctions, awards and exhibitions. He was named a Life Fellow of the Royal (British) Society of the Arts in 1965. His work is featured in numerous private and public collections including: New York’s Lincoln Center, the Vatican Museum Collection, Museum of Modern Art (Mexico), Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Yale University, Museum of Modern Art of Latin America (Washington, D.C.), Concert and Opera House Festspeile (Salzburg), Museum of Contemporary Art (Bogota) and the University of Central Florida. The colors and surface textures are superb.  Every time you study it you see new things. Original cost was $6500 and the current market for Nierman originals certainly supports this kind of pricing.  My starting price is well below this value.  I will post a few more pictures in different light and some close-ups if requested.  The metal frame and the frame surround are all in excellent condition.  The painting will be double packaged and insured for full value.  The original certificate of authenticity will be included (a black and white copy is in the picture gallery).
