PHOTOGRAPHER: ROY SCHATT (1909-2002)   Details of this sale:                      Photograph: This photograph of Marilyn Monroe was taken in the Actors Studio in NYC; 1955. After MM's death there was a lot of publicity around these photos in class as she appears to glow amongst all the other people sitting in the class. When Roy was interviewed he was asked if he used flash or lit her or used any technique in his dark room for this to happen; he replied, that he simply snapped the photograph without flash the same way he shot the rest of the days photographs in the actors studio, as well printed it the same as all his other photogrpahs. This is a beautiful close up crop, it is absolutally breathtaking in the physical state.  The photograph was printed by the photographer Mr. Roy Schatt in his dark room on East 33rd Street in NYC. It is copyrighted and stamped on the back. It is signed by Roy Schatt and the photograph is in Pristine condition.
