This original is especially unique because its backdrop is his famous "100 dollar bill snake eyes" piece that sold out early last year. He had a custom canvas made with that background, and just went to town on this thing! Everything from the custom red hue, to the flames, to the outlinings, the touch ups everywhere, the olive, and the signature are all 100% original work! The piece is truly breathtaking. When I had friends come through my house, they'd constantly stop in front of this thing in disbelief that there was a Godard original right in front of their face. I can’t even count how many people have begged to take pictures next to it, touch it, etc. It really has been the center of attention in my home and now it can be for yours. As far as its retail value.. There is only one gallery I know that has one of this style "oh my godard" in Las Vegas. They have theirs for $7500 plus tax and it’s a pretty generic version... (there’s just a plain olive holding a martini glass. not nearly as much time and detail that has gone into this one). So needless to say, this would sell in galleries (if they could get a hold of one) for upwards of $8,000. As far as secondary market value, this will increase tenfold compared to the giclee prints.
