Description
STUNNING EXAMPLE OF MINNIE PWERLE Original Canvas Awelye - Atnwengerrp COA from Highly Reputable Gallery Dated 2004 1230 mm x 1050 mm Framed with White Shadow Frame Someone pointed out to me that the colours look faded in the middle but this is just from the flash and the colours are bright and vibrant throughout. I will try and take some better ones in the daylight tomorrow and load them, sorry! This is truly a beautiful example of the work of Minnie Pwerle. An original canvas depicting the designs painted on the top half of womens bodies during ceremonies in their country. I bought this painting in 2004 and have had it beautifully framed in a white 'shadow' frame. The painting is in perfect condition and is a stunning example of the colour and unique style of this wonderful artist. This painting is an excellent investment piece and is one of the most beautiful of the Minnie's that I have seen and I have quite a few other Minnie's. The colour in this one is exemplary and the canvas is full of paint. It's much lovelier in the flesh than the photos, much brighter with really vibrant and vivid colour. I have photos of the artist painting this work which I will not out of respect put on the listing but I am happy to email these to you along with a copy of the COA. I bought this from an Aboriginal art expert who I still believe to be one of the foremost and most knowledgable and well connected people in the industry in Australia and his gallery has now become quite famous. The COA is dated 1/12/2004. I am only selling this painting as it is part of my super fund and it is time that I started to make a few changes to the collection that I have. I also believe that Ebay allows these works to be available to people everywhere at accessible prices which should be the case with anything. Works like this don't need to only be available through fine art auctions as most people simply do not ever get the opportunity to buy in those circumstances. Besides, I love Ebay and have bought many wonderful things from fabulous people in the Ebay community. I am really happy to try and answer any questions you have about this painting but I am by no means an expert on the artist or the painting. It's just that the investment strategy of my SMSF has been the purchase of Aboriginal art up until now and I bought things that I not only liked, but believed to be investment quality. I had good advice and I think that this piece and certainly this artist remain extremely sound investments. Thanks for looking and please email me and I will try to answer your questions.
