The drawing was created on acid free Bristol board in warm flesh tones by Louisiana artist J F Gianforte. The figure depicts a well developed young man casually posing against a carved antique Persian stone background. The flesh tones and background used by the artist give the work an antique feeling but the rendering of the figure is markedly contemporary, showing the well developed muscularity that is a trademark of the artist.
