Suribachi, February 23rd, 1945 during the bloody battle for Iwo Jima captured in a black and white photo by Joe Rosenthal. In the white field there is glue residue from the Aurora label that originally sat on the art.  This could be professionally removed.  This was purchased at auction about a decade ago.  This is an original painting of an enormously iconic photographic image of American courage and valor by one of the best military artists, Mort Kunstler. The live areas of the image measures 17" x 21".  There are reflections in the art glass that are not on the image. Item will be securely packed and fully insured. Place a Bid!
