Using soft colors and gentle brush strokes Master Nakajima makes the character for moon appear as a reflection on the water. This is a true example of contemporary SHO art. This work was done with Sumi ink on paper and mounted onto a scroll format. There are three suggested ways of displaying a piece such as this. The first is hung as it is shown in the pictures below without any framing. Second, a custom frame can be made for this piece in which the piece hangs inside of.
