Description
Study for a Post cover called "Summer Stock." A young girl in front of a mirror, doing her make up in a chicken coop. The year is 1939. It says "Post" across the top and (special treat!) includes three letters, attached, written by Norman Rockwell to the person to whom it was originally given. It is 16 x 12. This is an amazing Rockwell from a private source with a small window of opportunity. If you are at all interested, do not wait. He first met Rockwell in New Rochelle and then got back in touch with him in the early 1940's. The painting is very well and confidently painted.
