Farnham was born in 1926, and was most active in the New Jersey /Pennsylvania area. He has extensive auction records, with a piece selling as recently as 3/2008, for over $1,000, and in 2/2008 ( Rago Art Gallery & Auctions) for over $1,500. His highest auction record was set in January of this year (2008). It was a 12" x 16" oil on canvasboard , which sold at William Doyle Galleries, for a whopping $12,000. This piece up for auction was recently purchased from the heir to its original owner, and is an Oil on Canvas. The image is  along the Delaware River, and may be somewhere in Bucks County, Pa., where the heir grew up. Her father purchased Farnham paintings for her Mother on every Holiday.This one is signed in the lower left-see photo, and titled, "WINTER ALONG THE DELAWARE" .Inside dimensions are 23 1/2" x 19 3/4". Outside dimensions (includes frame) are 29 1/4" x 25 1/4"". The wood and linen frame is original to the piece. In person, the colors are bright and pleasing.
