This painting is a beautiful seascape with a pier and boat on the left and  boats in the background, oil on canvas, a substantial piece and is signed clearly on the front "RAPHAEL SOYER ". RAPHAEL SOYER* is a listed artist and is quite collectable as his works' auctions have increased in value. *In 1913 Soyer moved with his family to the Lower East Side of New York City. They were deported from Russia by the Tsarist regime.   He attended classes at Cooper Union and at the National Academy of Design. He had his first solo exhibition in 1929 which assured his success. The image is slightly brighter than the painting due to lighting. The painting is in very good condition. Height: Approx. 12 in. Width. Approx. 16 1/2 in. ; framed it is 18" x 22 1/2". It is a period wood frame in  good condition.
