His work is known for its intense pure color and artistic line. He received the Sesnan Gold award from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in 1925, co-founded the Lehigh Art Alliance in the 1935, served as Director at the Allentown Museum of Art, headed the Baum School of Art and is known as the “Father of Art in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania”. Mr. Baum’s work has continued to command increased demand and prices since the late 50s.
