This painting belonged to a Columbia University professor who gave it to his grandaughter.  She lived in Corpus Christ, TX and gave it to her boy friend as an engagement present in 1952.  In 1984, (in Alma, AR) I purchased the painting from the ex boy friend. He told me that he believed the artist was the girs grandfather, who had been a Professor at Columbia.
