The paintings were purchased by my Grandmother around 1932-1933 in the city of Detroit while Rivera was working on the murals at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Diego Rivera sold paintings while he was working in the City of Detroit to support himself. They have been in my family ever since.   The paintings both measure 11 ½” X 8 ½” and are on heavyweight paper with jagged edges. I am not sure what it is called exactly. The paintings are both signed in the lower right corner RIVERA and underlined with the words Taxco GRO. Diego Rivera spent time in Taxco before he arrived in Detroit. NO RESERVE Place a Bid!
