Description
June Christy was a multi-award winning jazz vocalist and distinct song stylist of the 1940's-1970's, often associated with the Stan Kenton Orchestra.  Her deep, sultry voice, magnetic glamour and natural elegance earned her an off-handed title by a Chicago DJ and fan when he introduced her as "The Misty Miss Christy."  The nickname stuck, became an album title and followed her throughout her career. June talent was much more than one of the world's great singers, however.  Her art was multi-faceted.  From drawing and designing her performance gowns to spending an occasional deep-in-the-night or quiet, sunny California afternoon at the easel honing just as distinctly talented skills as a post-modern impressionist painter.   She had a flair with a brush, but as a lover of texture, the palette knife came out often.  Of the collection of paintings she did over the years, most would hang for awhile among her extensive collection of eclectic art complimenting her contemporary home, until, inevitably, they would wind up as treasured gifts for family and close friends.  This work was gifted to our family in 1972 where it has remained since. Unlike her close friend and simpatico fellow painter, Tony Bennett, June never attempted to sell her paintings.  Research shows that none have as yet been auctioned.  This is a ONE-TIME FLEETING opportunity to take the voice you loved and give an irreplaceable added dimension that will forever remind you of an unparralled talent.  How many people in the world can possess such a prize? Only one.  Will it be you?  Money back in 7 days if you aren't delighted.  This window is open for 10 days, after which it will close.  This opportunity is unlikely to be repeated on E-Bay.  Bid now and preserve your piece of elegant history.
