Description
you are bidding on a hand painted original oil painting from oscar winner Tommy Lee Jones. this large painting is 30"x30". Framed it measures 34"x34". this is an oil painting on canvas. it is a beautiful piece that has very thick pallette strokes. it is professionally framed but if you dont care for the frame it will come off easily without damaging the picture. it is a white antique looking frame that cost $300 just to frame. it is ready to hang. in my opinion you dont even need a frame on it. my wife preferred the frame though. this painting WAS painted by the oscar winning actor Tommy Lee Jones who has starred in such movies as The Fugitive, Batman, Men In Black, etc. He won the academy award for best supporting actor in The Fugitive. The painting depicts a field of poppies with farmhouses and hills in the background. it possibly could be a scene from the Tuscany region. I am not an art collector. i am more into sports and music memorabilia. however, my wife and i found this picture very cool and we were intrigued since it was painted by a well known celebrity. we have owned it for about 2 years now. we bought it from a gallery in california on a vacation. we had it hanging in our guest bedroom which is now getting converted to a nursery. anyway, it is beautiful. i can provide a certificate of authenticity upon request. the pictures do not do it justice. my digital pictures came out a tad blurry. the painting is very vibrant and sharp. this is a wonderful investment opportunity simply because of who painted it. i did some research after the fact and discovered that Tommy Lee Jones painted as a hobby but there are probably only a very limited number of his pieces out in circulation. i found that 1 of his favorite subject matters was to paint poppy fields. once again the painting has very thick pallette strokes, the poppies are vibrant red, and Tommy Lee Jones signed the bottom of the painting. i am putting this up for sale as a no reserve auction. however if bidding does not get to a respectable amount i may have to end the auction, so please bid early and often. i will accept paypal, money order, or cashier's check as payment. if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. trust me as i have a 100% positive feedback rating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
