His work is very detailed realism, and the paintings take a long time to finish. At this moment I am having the frame redone with all new water gilded 22k gold leaf. This is a pretty intense process, therefore the painting will ship out about 3 weeks from the sale, when this process is finished. I was hoping that it would be ready from the framer sooner, but the process is very tedious, due to stripping and re-gessoing the surface of the frame before the gold leafing can be applied. The bright side of this is that the frame will be completely blemish-free. This is a $700 to $900 job, but I wanted to offer this piece in perfect condition for this sale.
